Refund & Revision Policy

This Refund & Revision Policy forms part of the Terms of Service governing the use of Katja and katjasong.com.

1. General Principles

Katja provides personalized music editing services based on customer-provided audio files, instructions, and preferences.

Due to the customized nature of the Service, refund eligibility and revision availability depend on the type of order placed.

2. Katja Basic

Preview Before Payment

Katja Basic operates on a preview-first model.

Customers may review the preview before making any payment.

No payment is required unless the customer approves the preview.

Declining a Preview

No payment is required to view a Katja Basic preview.

Customers are charged only if they choose to approve the preview and proceed with the order.

No charges will be applied for declined Katja Basic previews.

Revisions

Katja Basic does not include revisions.

Customers seeking additional changes, customization, or more detailed editing may choose to place a Katja Custom order.

3. Katja Custom

Payment Before Work Begins

Katja Custom orders require payment before editing work begins.

By placing a Katja Custom order, the customer acknowledges that work may commence shortly after the order is submitted.

Included Revision

Each Katja Custom order includes one (1) complimentary revision.

The revision may be used for reasonable modifications to the completed edit, including adjustments relating to:

• Music structure
• Transitions
• Timing
• Musical emphasis
• Other elements reasonably connected to the original request

Revision Limitations

The complimentary revision is intended to improve or refine the original order.

The revision may not be used to submit an entirely new request.

Examples of requests that may be treated as a new order include:

• Replacing most or all uploaded music
• Replacing, adding, removing, or changing uploaded audio files or audio sources
• Requesting a substantially different music concept
• Requesting a substantially different program structure
• Requesting major changes to the overall scope of work
• Requesting services not included in the original order

Katja reserves the right to determine whether a revision request falls within the scope of the original order.

4. Refund Policy

Katja Basic

Because payment is only required after preview approval, refunds are generally not applicable to Katja Basic orders.

Katja Custom

Once work has begun on a Katja Custom order, payments are generally non-refundable.

Refund requests may be considered in exceptional circumstances, including:

• Duplicate payments
• Technical errors
• Orders cancelled by Katja before work begins
• Situations where a refund is required by applicable law
• Cases where, after the included revision has been completed, the final result materially deviates from the customer's original request

Refund decisions are made at Katja's reasonable discretion.

5. Copyright and Rights Issues

Customers are solely responsible for ensuring that they possess the necessary rights to upload and use submitted audio files.

Katja reserves the right to refuse, suspend, or cancel an order where there is a reasonable belief that the submitted content may violate copyright, licensing, or other legal rights.

If a Katja Custom order is cancelled by Katja before work begins due to an apparent rights issue, any payment received for that order will be refunded.

6. Incomplete or Unclear Requests

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all instructions, durations, uploaded files, and other request details are accurate and complete before submitting an order.

If a request contains missing, contradictory, ambiguous, or otherwise insufficient information, Katja may request clarification before work begins.

Delivery estimates begin only after the necessary information has been received.

7. File Availability

Katja may make completed orders available for future downloads through the customer's account. However, Katja does not guarantee permanent file availability and reserves the right to modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue file storage and download access at any time.

Customers are solely responsible for maintaining their own backups of all delivered files.

Katja shall not be liable for any loss of access to files, deleted files, or any failure by a customer to download or back up their files.

The unavailability, deletion, or removal of previously delivered files shall not by itself entitle a customer to a refund.
